Welcome

Though some may deemphasize church, signifying the greater importance of a personal relationship with Christ, the same Christ who loved you and gave His life for you thought it imperative for your well-being as a Christian to have this church family. He clearly stated His intent to build the church (Matthew 16:18). Just 50 days after His glorious resurrection, Peter preached the first gospel sermon and the church was established as a result in the very same chapter (Acts 2).Those who were saved that day were simply added to the church.
We get a full description of the church's activities in that chapter, and the rest of the New Testament is devoted to the perfecting of the church.  These first century times were full of violence, political corruption, and moral decline. In a world like that, Christians needed each other for support. They needed the church.
What about these twenty-first century times? In times like these, I need support from my church family, and I suspect you do, too. God can add you to His church exactly the way he added Christians in Acts 2.
At Mastin Lake, we want you to be part of that family. We want to talk with you more if you simply want to be part of the church Christ came to build. There's a place for you here, and don't let anyone ever tell you that church is not important.
